Is the World Turning Against Itself?

I have about 74 years behind me that have been full of life experiences – some fantastic, some awful, and some unspeakable. That is what life is all about. As time marches on, we will experience all kinds of events – maybe not to such extremes. Now the world seems to be turning in a way I don’t understand. Is the world turning against itself?

My Goals

Giving back and paying it forward have been my goals. To be completely transparent, I charge for individual virtual consults and virtual coaching. But all my original content is there for the asking. It is complimentary. Anyone can download any or all of my writings with just the click of the “Print Key” on your computer. You can read, digest, and incorporate my research and recommendations into your daily lives with my blessings. You will see how I have tweaked and revised my thinking as time has progressed and new information and clinical studies are reported. No one is forcing you to accept my thoughts or to follow my ideas.

But now, people like me are getting attacked. And some very good people (with a much greater presence on social media platforms than I have) are being censored for just voicing their educated and professional opinions. I thought intellectual dissent was encouraged rather than discouraged.

Never in the past have I seen such a shutdown of knowledge and free speech.

Decision Making

Whenever I was going to make a personal decision on anything, I would seek opinions from various sources which expressed opposite views. Then I could make up my mind. The world worked that way. Intelligent people behaved that way. No one would censor honest and professional research and experience. Not in the United States of America!

But now, the world seems to be turned against itself.

As most of you know by now, I am dealing with an incurable bone marrow cancer. I am treating it my way. My approach has integrated unconventional concepts with conventional oncology. I researched my Protocols based on published medical studies and embraced what made sense to me and rejected what did not make sense to me. As a result, I developed my Unconventional Cancer Protocols, which I continuously tweak. As of today, I am thriving without ever accepting chemotherapy. This has been my decision, and it has worked out exceptionally well. My conventional oncologist, whom I still see today, is quite surprised.

But let me be clear. I do not have a cure for cancer. Other inquisitive and open-minded cancer patients have been successful using other protocols. Most importantly, all of us have made our decisions and have benefited from all published experiences. We just filter out what does not resonate, and we incorporate what does resonate. All of us can learn as we go along and make changes as new knowledge becomes available.

I’m Controversial

My eating style is controversial in the cancer community. But case reports of cancer patients prove it to be effective. However, other eating styles have other case reports that are equally impressive.

I primarily eat an animal-based diet along with very few selected fruits and vegetables. This way of eating keeps me in ketosis for 6 days. Then I increase my healthy carbs and cycle out of ketosis for one day. The next day I start another 6 days of ketosis. This is my method to keep my body metabolically flexible. Our species basically existed “in” and “out” of ketosis throughout human evolution.

My way of eating is just one of my 10 Protocols, which I incorporated to support a robust immune system to help my body become healthy and stay healthy moving forward. The human body is a marvelous and miraculous creation. Give it what it needs; avoid everything it doesn’t need.

Challenged, Criticized, and Ostracized

Many individuals like me are promoting wellness by improving the immune system. Yet now, some of them are being challenged, criticized, and ostracized by powerful people.

Well-respected healthcare professionals literally are being shut down by social media if they discuss specific medical issues today. If I were to suggest that my ideas to improve the immune system could help prevent diseases and viruses from taking over our body, I could be censored. Medical experts who conflict with a “recognized” expert may have their careers destroyed by “the powers to be”. This hasn’t happened to me yet, but it has happened to so many well-educated and well-intentioned medical professionals whom I know and respect.

The world we live in is turning upside down.

Incongruities

How can some big pharmaceutical companies sell drugs approved by the FDA to only have many of them produce metabolically damaging side effects, which worsen a person’s life years in the future? How can some big food processing companies be allowed to sell products which include unhealthy chemicals, innutritious carbohydrates, processed sugars, and fats and oils that cannot benefit a healthy body? Is it a surprise to anyone that many of our children are growing up obese with high blood pressure and diabetes? We are being sold foods and ideas that are based on lies about nutrition. However, when healthcare professionals voice concerns and make suggestions that the body can heal itself with a different diet and changes in lifestyle, they get scorned and demonized. Some even have had their professional licenses stripped away because they promoted biological facts contrary to “the standard of care”.

And to make the situation worse, it seems to me that medical decisions are being polarized into one or the other of our political parties. Politics should have nothing to do with medicines and medical treatment.

What is the world evolving into? Why is it happening?

Actions to Take

I am fortunate enough to make my own decisions about my life and my body. I do in-depth research to get the facts I am searching for. But what are individuals with no medical background supposed to do and think? How can he or she make personal decisions when one side of the controversy is not allowed to be discussed professionally and intellectually?

My suggestion is to continue to seek out information. I start my research at PubMed, which is a free archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health’s National Library of Medicine.

In addition, there are new social media sites that are popping up which are not censored. Unfortunately, these sites can promote false information, which will never get scrutinized or labeled as such. So, you can be misguided.

However, many respectable groups of medical people are voicing their controversial opinions on these sites without the fear of their voices being deleted. One platform is Telegram. You can find out if there is a group or channel on Telegram featuring a specific person or topic you want to follow by Googling, “‘Person’s Name or Topic’ on Telegram”. If what you want exists, click on it and join.

So, tell me if the world is turning against itself? Or am I just imagining it?

  1. Thank you! This is exactly the information I’ve been” searching” for lately! Where to go to find unbiased non partisan medical research and information. Then I can indeed make my own decisions over my own body and health.

  2. Hi Al, I have only been following your blog for a short time, but I have been inspired by your positive responses to your life-threatening challenges. I have been on this planet for a similar amount of time as you, & I certainly agree that since the start of the Covid panic, the world seems to have turned upside down & on its head.

I shake my head in disbelief at many of the decisions that Governments & the so called “medical experts” around the world are making in response to Covid, & I look on in disbelief at the hatred, vitriol & scorn that is heaped on anyone, no matter how well qualified they are, if they dare to differ from the “official expert opinion”.

We truly seem to be living in a world gone mad.

I have the strong feeling that more & more people are taking their health back into their own hands, as you have done, & it may very well be that “the medical experts” have sensed this change, their backs are to the wall & they are fighting back by figuratively shooting the messengers of this health & healing revolution that is taking place.

I think our best course of action is to surround ourselves with like minded people, & to focus on living a happy, healthy & fun filled life, while ignoring the fear mongering of mainstream media & those who would try to pull us down.

And finally, your goals of giving back & paying it forward. What a fabulous way to live.

    To your good health, Geoff

  3. This is a spot on blog post Dr Al!!
    You are an inspiration.
Big pharma, big agriculture, and main stream media…..enemy’s of our health and well-being.
It is time for humanity to wake up and take back our health and power just like you have.

  4. Thank you Al, I have followed you for a while and truly appreciate your insight. I have watched the same identical thing happening and it is disconcerting.

  5. Thank you for your post. I too no longer know where to gather “peer reviewed” information. If you don’t go along with the lemmings then I have been told…..”there is something wrong with you! What you are doing is not NORMAL.” It is hard to find like minded people.

  6. Dr Al, your work and the sharing of it is so important! NOT ONCE have I seen information on healing the gut for virus prevention, yet is well know to the medical community that gut dysbiosis is a leading cause for immune system breakdown.

Your voice is so important and deeply appreciated. Especially in this, our world.

  7. I was in healthcare 30+ years when my health sent me home…I can tell you that doctors look at you with utter contempt if you do not accept their “diet”…as I’ve been Keto 18 years, Carnivore 95% 2 years. Sadly, it’s usually easy to figure out the bottom line Dr D….money and greed. Big Food is in bed with Congress, since the days of Ansel Keys and George McGovern….add Big Pharma in this triangle as well. 99% of the grocery store merchandise (it’s not real food), are inflammatory, cheap, fake foods, made knowingly to addict folks and make them sick.

  8. “I thought intellectual dissent was encouraged rather than discouraged.”

    Yeah me too.

Diet — I think the reason people get mad about diet is because if you say to a sick person, change your diet and you will heal… then, if they don’t heal, then what? Now the sick person thinks they did something wrong and it’s their own fault. It can be a very harsh outcome. It’s better, in my opinion to personify the cancer a little, treat it as a wily adversary that may adapt to things, and you are trying your best to outsmart it.

Keto for cancer may be getting bad press also because if, imagine, this is my last Christmas, and I avoid the cookies my Aunt bakes, then the hurt of my death is magnified. Because I died anyway. There has to be a communication that I enjoy the diet, and that I’d love to have my Aunt’s egg nog instead. Food is also a celebratory ritual and makes a connection between people. When everyone around you is afraid you may not be there next year, it’s natural for them to try and connect in any way they can.

But I agree the way we talk about health is reaching a fever pitch that isn’t healthy. Medicine is avoiding giving helpful answers to things that need it (ME/CFS, Celiac, many autoimmune issues), while meanwhile too harshly criticizing the sorts of things people have done for generations to keep themselves healthy (steam therapy for sinuses was attacked recently for instance).

I’m still mad about January 6th, so I’m going to stay away from uncensored social media, as I stay away from all social media too (I don’t go to Twitter or Facebook either). I think it’s the ad platforms that drive those things into the ground. You start with an interest in yoga and pretty soon you’re getting posts promoting Creationism. Hey it’s alternative, right?

I see no reason why social media needs to exist. We were perfectly fine without it for all of human history before. Smaller reach bulletin boards are enough for me, blogs and forums. As long as they’re not full of obviously dishonest posts.

Sorry to write you a novel. 🙂 I like your blog, you’re always honest and straighforward by my reckoning. And you’ve hit on something that I think about a lot. I’m not sure what the answer is. Trolls are good at faking honesty and turning arguments on their head. They take pride in it. Maybe, like some people have suggested, we need to always identify ourselves online, no more anonymous handles? Not sure. Maybe we need to delete things people have said 10 years ago or longer, to allow people to change their mind, and loud teens to grow into serious adults. Not sure. But until someone comes up with a good idea, I’m out of it, with the exception of my blog. There are days I waver even about that.

  9. I think humans have been this way for a long time but social media has sped up and strengthened this by allowing people to say anonymously, nasty things with no need to listen to what the other has to say.

Journalists who are trying to get readers, have a big part to play in the circus pitting us against each other too.

Murdoch, who owns most of the new media around the world is not a good person at all and encourages conflict as it sells newspapers etc.

  10. Keep doing what you are doing, Dr. Al. I appreciate your intelligent and well-researched approach to disease prevention (and hopefully disease cure, in your case). So much medical information I read online is heavily influenced by Big Pharma and their profit-driven approach to medicine. Most people do not realize that their health is largely controlled by the things they do (and eat) every day, and that if some simple rules are followed, it’s possible to remain healthy throughout life, without the need for prescription drugs and risky medical procedures.

  11. Not the world turning against itself, the elite trying to take control of our thoughts (through censorship) and actions (through mandates) all to add to their power. They honestly don’t believe we can think for ourselves. The sad thing is most people are in the dark about how controlled the narrative is. The elite come up with what they want us to hear and they pass it on to huge and powerful advertising companies. They’re coming after our meat next. My Facebook feed has been full of fake meat, lab derived meat, etc.
what is your telegram user name? I’d live to follow you there.

  12. Since medical “studies” and media are completely bastardized the best information on the web is coming from blogs, you tube, and comments on posts. I honestly thank got we have the internet and wonder if the pressure we feel now is due to the fact that the internet makes it so the elite cannot lie to us any longer. In the 1990s what choice did I have? I had to listen to my doctor and follow what he said. Now I have many choices from comments to self published books on amazon.

I am very intrigued by carnivore, however, I have gotten a high iron level twice now while only increasing my red meat for Keto. Though it is possible I am just naturally prone — I do not have hemochromatosis — I think everyone should be sure to check these labs frequently – in particular newly menopausal women. Iron is shockingly bad for the body.

In my experience doctors won’t do the test(s) without obvious symptoms, presumably to kill us quicker or enforce their — just don’t eat meat ideas. So I pay for my own.
